Social Work in Palestine

Social Work in Palestine is of critical value to the community.

Living under occupation has many social and psychological effects on people. Death of friends and family and violence are everyday realities for Palestinians. Helping people address the ways in which they suffer as a result is at the heart of the work that the social workers profession in Palestine carries out.

We believe it is important to provide counselling services in all schools and seek to ensure that this becomes a reality.

As Social Workers, we endeavour to keep learning and building on our knowledge and understanding of how best to deal with the different issues we are confronted with.

We have good relationships with many institutions and organisations; including charities such as the YMCA, universities, workplaces and government. Retaining these means that the community can unite in helping its people sociall; sharing support, services and awareness.
