What we do

advocacy and empowerment for members

support and assistance to the community

Etablished and formally recognized by the Palestinian National Authority's Ministry of Labour in 1996, PUSWP was founded to help empower welfare professionals through trainings, advocacy and career development.

Our Bethlehem headquarters serves over 500 members and we expect this number to double over the next 5 years as ever more students graduate from the local universities.

Our Goals

-Enhance the professional skills of all the graduates in social sciences through means of training and career development

-Monitor and promote the quality of social services provided by the institutions.

-Minimise the rate of unemployment among professionals of the sector.

-Grant advocacy to protect and consult our members concerning rights and entitlements.

Mission Statement

"PUSWP is committed to the values of human rights, social justice and equal opportunity for all. PUSWP strives to be a

catalyst for social change and development within the Palestinian Code of Ethics and Regulatory Policy".

Members also benefit from connections and support both with other members and with our international friends and collegues.
